Patriotic Hopscotch

We have a Veteran's home nearby.  One of ladies in our quilt guild organized and collected lap quilts for each of the 250 (or so) residents.  Here's my first quilt for the VA.

I got this pattern "Hopscotch" free on my first Shop Hop.  It calls for one yard of three fabrics.  I used 2 fat quarter for each color and made it half the size of the pattern.

I used soft red fleece for the backing (and no batting) and practiced my FMQing some more.  I am hoping that the veteran who receives this quilt will not be offended by my amateur quilting.  Perhaps he'll have poor eyesight and won't notice!
